Who operates the app

For parents and guardians
Bible Memory Kids is a Scripture memorization app for families. A parent or guardian should create and manage the account and supervise a child's use. Parent controls protect account settings and other parent actions. You may use a nickname for a child instead of a real name. Do not include private information in custom verses or recordings. Recordings are optional.
Information collected
Account information: When a parent creates or signs into an account, we and our authentication providers process the parent's name, email address, account identifier and sign-in credentials or tokens. We do not receive the password for your Apple, Google or Facebook account. Firebase Authentication handles email/password authentication.
Family profiles and learning data: We store the profile name you choose for each child, its parent account association, active-profile settings, account timestamps, custom collections and verse text, memorization and review progress, and gem rewards.
Audio: If you grant microphone permission and use recording features, the app records audio and stores recordings in cloud storage associated with the child profile. This can include a child's voice. Recording is not required to use the other memorization features.
Technical information: Firebase Crashlytics and related Firebase services process crash reports, device and operating-system information, app version and technical diagnostic data. Sign-in providers may process account and device identifiers, IP addresses, approximate location derived from an IP address, and sign-in usage information for authentication, security, fraud prevention and operation of their services. Google Sign-In's privacy disclosures also cover contact details, device identifiers and usage data processed by that service.
Support: If you contact us, we receive the contact information and content you send. The app's support email may include device model and operating-system version.
How information is used
We use information to provide sign-in, keep family profiles separate, save and synchronize verses and recordings, track learning progress, award gems, schedule reviews, maintain security and reliability, diagnose problems, and respond to support and privacy requests. Service providers also use technical information to operate and improve their services.
We do not sell family information, use it for targeted advertising, send marketing messages using it, or share it with advertising networks for our advertising. Bible Memory Kids does not display third-party ads. Version 1.8 disables Facebook automatic app-event logging and advertising-identifier collection and uses Facebook Limited Login.
Service providers and sharing
Google Firebase provides authentication, database storage, audio storage and crash diagnostics. Parents may choose Apple, Google or Facebook (Meta) for sign-in. These providers process information needed for the selected service under their applicable terms and privacy notices. We do not publish child profiles, custom verses, recordings or progress to other families. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the security and rights of users or the service.

Storage and retention
Account and learning information is stored with our cloud providers to support continued use and synchronization. You can request its deletion at any time. In version 1.8, Parents > Delete Account removes the signed-in parent account, its child profiles, custom and saved verses and collections, recordings, gems and progress. The app may require you to sign in again before deletion. Deletion is permanent. For earlier versions, or if deletion fails, contact us using the details above.
Provider security records and backups can follow their own retention schedules. Firebase states that Crashlytics retains crash data and associated installation identifiers for 90 days before beginning removal from its live and backup systems. Support correspondence may remain while needed to resolve a request or meet legal obligations. We do not promise immediate erasure from provider backups.
Parents' choices and requests
A parent or guardian can review and change a child's profile and learning content in the app. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion, or to ask us to stop further collection or use of a child's information. We may verify your authority over the account before fulfilling a request. You may revoke microphone access in device Settings. Revoking access stops new recording but does not erase recordings already saved. To remove the family's cloud data, delete the account or contact us. Deleting the account prevents continued use of features that require that account.
Security and changes
We use authenticated access and family ownership checks to protect cloud data. No system can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as the app changes and will update the date above. Contact us with questions about this policy or your family's information.
